These Air Flow Research 195cc intake port small block Chevrolet cylinder heads feature high flow runners and fast burn combustion chambers. The standard 23° valve angle and OEM valve spacing make this the perfect street head for 350 to 400 cid engines from 1955-1986. The exceptional flow characteristics, ideal operating range of 2000 RPM to 6500 RPM depending on peripherals. The 1034 cylinder heads feature a 65cc and the 1036 use 75cc combustion chambers respectively. You must specify when ordering.
These heads utilize a 64cc exhaust port and a 3/4” thick head deck (ideal for nitrous or blower applications). Standard valves are lightweight 8mm stems with 2.050" intake and 1.600" exhaust valve diameters with AFR’s hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats.
No special parts are required.
Dual valve cover bolt pattern is standard. Exhaust port is raised .100 over GM L98 cylinder heads. This casting uses a straight spark plug location. Emissions legal from 1969-94 with heat riser (CARB EO #D-250-2)
ORDER PART NUMBER: AFR-1034 for 65cc Combustion Chambers
ORDER PART NUMBER: AFR-1036 for 75cc Combustion Chambers
NOTE: Hydraulic roller cams typically experience valve float at 6200-6400 RPM because of their fast ramp rates. We suggest you upgrade your springs to AFR part #8019, 1.270 O.D. with higher spring pressures and use AFR's Patented “Hydra Rev Kit” to reduce chances of valve float associated with 6200 RPM or higher.
