AFR 215 LSx Mongoose Street Cylinder Head - (1530 - 65cc)

Air Flow Research is proud to release our 215cc LS1/LS2/LS6 version of our popular Gen III product line which is aimed specifically to maximize 4.000” bore combinations. The 215 LSx head is very versatile and could also be considered for aggressive 346 applications and should also be considered in large stroke motors. This head is more aimed at enhancing street performance than all out strip performance (where the 230 or 240 cc offerings make more sense).

The AFR 1530 head a very effective design offering serious velocity while still being able to provide a significant volume of airflow to generate well over 600 HP. This cylinder head will also work well on any forced induction or nitrous applications from 362-408 cubic inches. It of course comes equipped with AFR's trademark 3/4” thick deck and thicker port and combustion chamber surfaces as well

The medium bore AFR 215 cylinder head is a direct bolt on requiring no special parts. If you're looking to see your competition in your rear view mirror, give a close look at the AFR 215 heads for your LS2 combination.

NOTE: The AFR 215 combustion chamber requires a minimum head gasket bore diameter of 4.135" regardless of bore size.

NOTE: Hydraulic roller cams in "LS" Gen III engines typcially experience valve float at 6600-6800 RPM with aggressive camshaft profiles. If you are using aftermarket rocker arms valve float will become prominent and it is highly recommended to  upgrade to severe duty valve spring option. If you plan on running over .600" gross valve lift and/or 6600 RPM, we suggest you upgrade to one of the severe duty PAC Racing spring options. These upgraded spring packages have higher seat and open pressures to better reduce the risk of valve float in more aggressive applications. Contact us for various spring options.

NOTE: LSX bead locks and aftermarket bead locks are not interchangeable.GM made their bead lock radius and depth different.
