These camshafts are our full bore custom "Billet Race Series" camshafts which are CNC ground on a 8620 large barrel core for superior strength and torsional rigidity. The special cores will require a bronze or coated steel distributor gear. Slotting of distributor housing to spray lubricant onto the gears is highly recommened. Lubricants with a high zinc content required for long-term endurance for any camshaft core. Certain hydraulic roller combinations can utilize this style of camshaft core. Contact us for details.
All our custom designed small block Chevrolet camshaft profiles are developed per your specific application. Every facet of your project is taken into consideration when the profile is developed. Whether you're building for the serious open track, drag racing, endurance or off road, we can handle it. The nature of these camshafts will require ported cylinder heads and intake manifold, long tube headers and free flowing mufflers & exhaust system. These race grinds will not work with factory computers without serious modifications and tuning. Carbureted application will require a tuner carb from Bigs Performance, Pro Systems or the newer Holley HP series.
