FTI GT40 "King of the Road" Hydraulic Roller Camshaft - (KR1-A)

FlowTech Induction is now offering our "GT40-KR1-A" small block Ford custom hydraulic roller camshaft profile for builders using "replacement style" single valve springs in their cylinder head valvetrain. Designed specifically for the popular GT40 cast iron cylinder head combinations. When combined with a "properly" ported Cobra, Explorer or GT40 intake and the basic driveline mods, this camshaft will melt the tires off any performance project.

This "GT40-KR1-A" camshaft requires tubular headers with free flowing mufflers & exhaust system. These street/track grinds will not work with factory computers without modifications and/or professional tuning.

All our billet steel core hydraulic roller camshafts require a OEM steel distributor gear. Also recommended is a modified cam retainer plate. FTI-CR-2

Camshaft Specs:

  • Intake Duration @ .050" Tappet Lift: 214°
  • Exhaust Duration @ .050" Tappet Lift 218°
  • Intake Gross Valve Lift: .550" (1.60)
  • Exhaust Gross Valve Lift: .530" (1.60)
  • Lobe Separation: 108°
  • RPM Range: 1500-5500

NOTES:

  • Rocker arm geometry, lifter preload & push rod length must be verified before starting the engine.
  • Lifter preload is very important for maximum performance and must be checked & verified.
  • All hydraulic roller camshafts are ground on the late model 302HO/351W firing order. (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8)
