Product Description

The "Hurricane-HT" LSX Hydraulic Roller Camshaft

Specs: 228*-240*-115*-.614"-.610"

Broad powerband for serious street power for a supercharged LSx engine. Great sounding daily driver profile with a strong "muscle car" lope at idle! This is the mid-range camshaft that keeps the competition in your rear view mirror.

Easy on the valvetrain and will not require constant maintenance. Requires PAC Racing 1207X, 11222X, Lunati 73925 or equivalent dual valve springs. Hardened heavy wall push rods recommended for high RPM valvetrain stability. Piston to valve clearance should be verified!

Camshaft can also be purchased as a complete valvetrain package.

  1. It's hard not to love this cam 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Oct 2017

I researched cams for a very long time before I settled on this one. There's a reason why I went with an Ed Curtis grind and I will continue to do so. My '03 Z06 put down 436rwhp and 415rwtq SAE on a Dynojet dyno with this cam, full exhaust, cold air intake, underdrive balancer and thinner .040" head gaskets. It made 350rwtq at only 2200rpm, the torque curve is great. The powerband is very broad and the idle is nice and choppy. The driveability is excellent with a good tune, I could easily daily drive the car if I wanted to. My factory LS6 heads and intake manifold are 100% stock and untouched which makes the results even more impressive.

  2. Awesome street cam 5 Star Review

I'm extremely happy with my choice. In a bolt on '01 C5Z, stock heads, it made 420/404 and 542/560 (SAE) on 100 shot in the 95 degree Florida heat. Near stock driveability, LOADS of torque, and an absolutely monstrous powerband.

  3. torque monster 5 Star Review

I installed this cam in a 2003 C5 M6 with 25K miles. The car has 1 3/4 longtubes with x-pipe, 10% UD pulley and valvetrain upgrades. Still has 3.42 gears. I made 394RWHP and 390RWTQ with stock 241 heads. These are SAE numbers on a dynapack dyno. The car made 350ft/lb at 2900. The torque is unbelieveable. I would recommend this cam to anyone running a stock cube LS1
