FTI Custom Hydraulic Roller Camshaft - LT1 GEN-V (Max-Effort)

These revolutionary Comp Cams based GM GEN V camshafts are designed to work with the direct injection, VVT and AFM lifters featured in GM's GEN V LT1-L83-L86 engine. These forced induction grinds feature many proprietary lobe profiles to optimize the power and reliability for forced induction combinations.

The "MAX-EFFORT" series LT1 hydraulic roller custom camshaft profiles are designed per each customer's specific application. Every single facet of your project is taken into consideration when developing these camshaft profiles. Drag racing, open track and high endurance applications are covered. This series of camshafts require the AFM to be deactivated and non-AFM lifters to be used. Standard Morel link-bar or direct replacement LS7 lifters and trays are required. Comp Cams phaser limiter kit #5456 required. (sold separately)

Comp Cams tool steel cam core technology, widely seen in NASCAR, NHRA and other professional race engines, is now available for GM Gen V LT1, L83 and L86 applications. Tool steel is 30% stronger than the standard SAE 5150 or SAE 8620 cam cores typically used for LS camshafts. This material allows the use of more aggressive profiles on both the direct injection (DI) fuel pump lobe and the cam lobes. The size and shape of the DI lobe can be customized to support more horsepower over the OEM design (see fuel pump lobe options). The polygonal designs are available with three, four or five “throws” per revolution. The four-lobe option can be advanced or retarded to properly phase with the injector timing to maximize flow, reduce pressure fluctuations and minimize fuel bypass.

These Comp Cams tool steel cam cores are through hardened, meaning that engine builders can choose virtually any combination of duration, lift, lobe separation and advance. They are superior to the traditional hardened surface of either induction-hardened or carburized steel cam cores.

Completion of the CAM TECH form required.

These brand new LT1 grinds will not work with factory computers without modifications and tuning.
