Lunati Valve Spring Kit for AFR "Renegade" Heads (Steel Retainers)
Racers and top engine builders using the AFR "Renegade" series cylinder heads with solid or hydraulic roller valvetrain now have a brand new, extreme usage hydraulic roller spec valve spring, spring retainer, machined valve lock and Viton valve stem seal kit that extends engine RPM potential and increases performance capability.
This custom built, Lunati based valvetrain package feature precision wound, heat-set, dual valve springs with the required seat and open load pressures plus total spring travel to accommodate cams with aggressive gross valve lifts of up to .660”. The 1.300" diameter valve springs contained in each kit, are carefully tension matched and all supplied components come complete and ready to install. Included are CNC machined, steel alloy spring retainers, CAD designed to deliver maximum strength and durability.
Precision fit spring locators are included and are designed to accurately locate the inner spring onto the valve guide shoulder, preventing abrasion with aluminum heads. Fully machined and hardened, 4140 steel alloy 7-degree, 8mm valve locks with the correct radial step are provided for superior valve stem holding reliability. Premium quality, Viton steel jacketed valve stem seals are included for correct valve stem lubrication and oil control.
Applications include: AFR small block GM & Ford "Renegade" series cylinder heads with solid or standard hydraulic roller springs and 8mm valve stems. You must specify which part number AFR and series cylinder heads you are using in order to have the correct components included in your kit.
