Lunati Dual Valve Spring Kit for AFR Cylinder Heads (Steel Retainers)
Top racers and professional engine builders reworking the early "Outlaw Series" AFR cylinder heads originally fitted with solid roller valvetrain now have a proven, extreme usage "hydraulic roller" spec dual valve spring, spring retainer, valve lock and valve stem seal kit that safely extends engine RPM and boosts performance capability.
This custom built Lunati based kit features precision wound, heat-set, dual valve springs for required seat and open load pressure plus total spring travel to accommodate hydraulic roller cams with aggressive gross valve lifts of up to .650”.
The LS style, small diameter dual valve springs used in each kit are carefully tension matched and all supplied components come complete and ready to install. Included are CNC machined, chromemoly steel 4140 alloy spring retainers, CAD designed to deliver maximum strength and durability.
Fully CNC machined and hardened spring locators are included and are designed to accurately locate the inner spring in conjunction with the valve guide bosses, preventing spring walk and abrasion of the spring pockets in aluminum heads.
Precision machined and hardened 4140 steel alloy 7-degree, 11/32" valve locks with square step are provided for superior valve stem holding reliability. Premium quality, Viton® steel reinforced valve stem seals are included for correct valve stem lubrication and oil control.
Applications include: Works with older AFR 205/225 cylinder heads with solid roller springs and 11/32" diameter valve stems. Can also fit other cylinder heads such as Brodix Track 1, Edelbrock Victor Jr and TFS Trick Flow High Port heads. Contact us for the particulars requires to use this package.
